The site is for Sean Deveney’s book about the 1918 World Series. The 1919 Chicago White Sox are famous for throwing the World Series, but Sean lays out the case that gambling was more prevalent in baseball, and reveals evidence that suggests the 1918 Cubs threw the World Series as well.

There is an amazing amount of content about baseball, the Cubs, the Red Sox, Chicago, gambling, and World War I. Also, Sean did an incredible job digging up images from the era – they are one of the best aspects of the site.
