Project Description
Sean Deveney, reporter for The Sporting News, was looking to launch a website that would complement his new book The Original Curse: Did the Cubs Throw the 1918 World Series to Babe Ruth’s Red Sox and Incite the Black Sox Scandal. But, Sean wanted a site that was more than a simple promotional tool.
The intent of the site was to create a place where readers could take in more details about the context of the 1918 World Series. The result is a site that users can explore to learn about the Series, the First World War, and the issues that concerned Chicago in 1918.
